Eurfyl ap Gwilym yn annerch y Gangen/addresses the Branch
Mae'n bleser gennym gyhoeddi y bydd Dr Eurfyl ap Gwilym yn ymweld â'r Gangen er mwyn siarad am ei waith holl bwysig yn gadeirydd ar y pwyllgor arbennig sy'n ystyried y ffordd ymlaen i'r Blaid: "Symud ymlaen: Adnewyddu'r Blaid i Gymru". Dyma gyfle ardderchog i aelodau'r Gangen wrando ar un o aelodau mwyaf disglair y Blaid a dweud eu dweud yn gynnar yn y gwaith holl bwysig hwn.
Prin fod angen cyflwyno Dr ap Gwilym, dyn busnes ac arbennigwr economaidd uchel ei barch, sy'n aelod o'r Blaid ers 1963. Efe ysgrifennodd y Cynllun Economaidd i Gymru yn y 1970au cynnar gyda Dafydd Wigley a Phil Williams. Mae ef wedi bod yn gadeirydd cenedlaethol y Blaid ac wedi ei enwebu am sedd ar ran y Blaid yn Nhy'r Argwlyddi.
Cafodd cryn sylw yn ystod ymgyrch etholiad San Steffan 2010 wrth iddo roi Jeremy Paxman yn ei le mewn cyfweliad bythanghofadwy ar "Newsnight".
Yn groes i'r arfer, ar ail Nos Fercher y mis fydd y cyfarfod (a DDIM ar y Nos Fercher gyntaf), felly dewch yn llu i Ganolfan Cymry Llundain, Grays Inn Road ar Nos Fercher 12 Hydref, 7.30 yr hwyr. Croeso mawr i aelodau'r Gangen!
It is a pleasure to announce that Dr Eurfyl ap Gwilym will be visiting the Branch to talk about his crucial work chairing the special committee looking into the way ahead for "Moving on. Renewing Plaid for Wales". This will be an excellent chance for Branch members to listen to one of the most distinguished members of the Party and to have their say in this important work.
Dr ap Gwilym hardly needs any introduction. A respected businessman and economic specialist, he has been a member of Plaid Cymru since 1963. He wrote the Economic Plan for Wales with Dafydd Wigley and Phil Williams in the early 1970s. He has been National Chairman and has been nominated by the Party for a seat in the UK House of Lords.
He attracted a new band of fans during the 2010 Westminster election campaign when he proved more than a match for Jeremy Paxman in a memorable "Newsnight" interview.
The meeting will, exceptionally, be on the second Wednesday of the month (NOT on the first Wednesday), so there will be a warm welcome to Branch members at the London Welsh Centre on Wednesday 12 October from 7.30 pm.

Among other things, there will be a report on this year's Summer School and we will be looking ahead to the National Conference, which begins on Thursday 8 September.
